Mission Objective: Ogre reduced below 20% HP
Mission Failure: The Nadesico, Dendoh or ANY Data Weapons destroyed
That’s why you have the Dendoh packing Iron Wall. Altair and the Data Weapons will make a beeline for them, so you don’t wanna take unnecessary risks. As they said, just ignore the Data Weapons and focus on Altair: he doesn’t have nearly enough HP face all the folks around who know valor (in this aspect, MXP’s HP increase was justified).
We’ll leave our smaller units outside to clean up on what’s left, while our main guys head in.
Easy money. Ruri, Saburouta and Kyoshiro deal with the rest.
Rom is one of the few who can reach stuff within the Aldebaran. Do note that those pillars there work as solid objects, blocking your attack line of sight.
Clearing up these Capture RoBeasts will provide us with much needed room to move amid these narrow corridors.

There are only a few lone Gulfer left throughout the Aldebaran and our guys can easily tear them apart. The part we’re headed is in the far back of the ship, so it’ll be a while to get there.
One thing I neglected to go over during the Giganos HQ assault is how destructible walls actually work. There are a couple of rules that need to be obeyed:
- The unit that’ll attack needs to be aligned with the wall – attacking from a diagonal doesn’t work. Mind, this rule does not apply to objects that area lying out in the open, like the Mass Driver in the previous mission.
- Only some weapons can actually break walls down: the ones with an “O” mark under the 建 tab (far right in the weapons list).
Knowing that, we open up this passageway to shorten the path we’ve to take.
This is also the part where the game’ll start tucking away unit parts in out of the way rooms. This one is a bit of a freebie to teach you that, since you’re likely to take this path anyway: we get a Super Alloy Z.
By the by, killing Altair was worth a “Mom’s Stew” which is a consumable that fully restores one’s SP.
Popping the other wall out of the room (the enemies won’t do it, of course), leads us right to where we need to go.
The Gulfer there are easily dispatched.

Secret Alert! Last step of the Dendoh secret: you must bust down this particular wall with the kids. Only the Bakusai Juurakka can do it, mind, so remember it’s not usable at point-blank range.
